Ingredients needed to make Butter Pecan Cookies:
1 3/4 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup butter
2 cups pecan halves
2 cups milk chocolate chips
Preparation Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of the brown sugar and the flour and mix well. Add the 1/2 cup melted butter and blend until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Spread the mixture into a 13×9 inch baking pan.
Spread the pecan over the top of the mixture.
Combine the 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1 cup of butter in a small pan and heat over medium heat. Allow the mixture to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Drizzle the mixture over the top of the pecans and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the surface is bubbling.
Immediately after removing the pan from the oven, spread the chocolate chips on top and cover with foil to let the chocolate melt. After the chocolate chips have melted, swirl the chocolate over the top with a knife.
