Christmas Doodle Cookies

January 8, 2009 by: goober

Ingredients needed for Christmas Doodle Cookies:

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cups margarine or butter
1/2 cup shortening
2 large eggs

2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 3/4 cups flour

2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Preparation Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400 deg. F.

While the oven is getting warmed up mix the sugar, butter, shortening and eggs until consistent. Next mix in the Cream of Tartar, baking soda, salt and flour.

Mix the final ingredients, sugar and cinnamon separate from the dough in a small bowl.

Using a spoon make balls from the dough you have just made. The balls should be around 1 inch thick. Roll the cookie dough balls in the sugar and cinnamon mix and place on a cookie sheet. If you don’t have a non-stick cookie sheet you may use a small amount of margarine or non-stick spray.

Bake for about 8 or 10 minutes until cookies look done. Some people love Doodles warm from the oven while others prefer to let them cool, either way eat and enjoy.
